Pyralis was sitting in her room reading when the door opened. It was the Scout.
"Wow, could you not?" Pyralis placed a worn bookmark between the pages and closed the book titled "Child of the Flame: Pyromania in adolescents".
"Chrysalis, there's a newsletter from Mann Co.!" His breathing was heavy, as if he was running while scared or excited.
"So? We get those every month, not a big deal. Also, name's Pyralis, don't make me repeat that."
"But this one's different. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but, um... there's a new guy coming."
The book hit the floor as soon as the words left his mouth. "WHAT?!" She ran past him and

Victorian!England x Reader Prologue
You have always been into black magic. At first, it was just a small hobby that soon turned into an unhealthy obsession. You were always buying old spell books from antique shops and such.
Once someone acquires an unhealthy obsession, it's kind of hard for them to hide. Once people found out about your love for black magic, they teased you and told you that they were daft for believing in it. You would show them that you could do magic.
Anyway, today is the day that you always practice magic in your room. This time you are planning on bringing someone back from the past, to the present. You decided to go to Victorian era England. You just a

France x Reader - Beauty Can Be Held In Anything
"Aren't the roses beautiful?" Francis asks me as we walk along the rose garden, the aroma overwhelming. I smile, hands in my pockets. The warm sun beats down on us as I look around me at all the different colors and shades of roses around us. Looking up at my friend, I say,
"I suppose. They're not my favorite thing in the world, though." He smiles back at me, saying,
"That is only natural. Perhaps you see beauty in a different way."
"And so do you," I say. Then I smirk, continuing, "Although, you do tend to think everything can be beautiful."
"Beauty can be held in anything, and everything. It is in the eye of the beholder, and you are my def

After that crazy dinner, it was school time. You groaned, you don't want to go to school yet, for pete sakes. You got dressed in your uniform and left the house without saying goodbye. Nothing could go wrong today, right? Except for the meeting with Matthias in the front gates. You sighed, as you continued walking.
'Is he really going to wait there? Or it's just a joke?' You thought along the way.
After a few walking and turns, you arrived in the school gates. You saw Matthias waiting, maybe he wasn't that much of a prankster after all.
"__________!" He yelled, as you walked towards him. He had that big goofy grin like always.
"What is it

After you had shut the door, the doorbell rang again. You sighed. To you, your life was horrible like hell. Getting bossed around, and going to school with slutty girls, who the hell would like a school like that? Oh yeah, monsters on earth like Viveca. You had decided to answer the door once and for all. When you opened the door you were surprised to see your stepsister Amore. You hugged her.
"Hello, __________," she smiled, ruffling your hair. "How's my little sister?" she asked, hugging you.
"I'm fine. You don't know how I missed you so much, Amore," You replied, burying your face in your sister's arms.
"You see, I'm always scared," he said, eyes fixated on his cup of coffee. "I don't like letting people close to me. Even when I was younger, I kept my distance from everyone. Never had a serious relationship till I was twenty, but when it happened, it was unstoppable. I'd always been kind of resigned to the thought that I'd never fall in love, because I was, you know, gay, and that's a taboo in this kind of world."
He ran a hand through his neatly combed hair and continued, still never meeting my eyes. "He's amazing, you know? For once in my life, I didn't feel like I was a freak. I could really let out who I was. I brought him home and my p
